During WWII when women were called to work in the munitions factories they were told to tie up their long hair. Much like when they were doing housework at home, they tied up their tresses using folded scarves. This Carnival of Kitsch item is my nod to those ground breaking women.
Very easy to use, no folding needed, just tie on and go!

Stunning and unusual is the best description for this 1980's vintage, batik printed cotton. Colours are teal, olive, burgundy and white comprising a delightful motif of pomegranates and leaves.
